OUR STORY
ColeWood Properties was born from a mother's 85th birthday trip to Ghana — a journey that reconnected a family to their roots and sparked a vision for sustainable living in West Africa.
In November 2021, Frederick Cole brought his mother Amistinea home to Cape Coast, visiting the ancestral home and reuniting with relatives. A seven-hour conversation with Millicent Owusu-Ansah at Kotoka Airport changed everything — planting the seeds for what would become ColeWood Properties.
The name "ColeWood" joins Frederick's paternal surname (Cole, from Sierra Leone) with his maternal Ghanaian heritage (Wood). The Amistinea Estate — named for his mother — is now a hilltop community in Aburi designed by Holcim Gold Award-winning architect Juergen Benson-Strohmayer of TAELON7, featuring premium detached residences, Bali-inspired contemporary villas, and modern apartments.
